To relieve travelers from the current oppressive heat wave, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has begun erecting makeshift shelters at the city’s busiest intersections.
Major crossroads in the city will have temporary sheds erected, according to a BMC post on X.
In addition, initiatives are being made to preserve and repair the city’s water resources.
For the past few days, the city has been experiencing scorching temperatures.
