With 39,52,097 visitors in the 2024–25 fiscal year, Nandankanan Zoological Park saw its highest-ever attendance, authorities said Monday. According to all sources, the number is the most visitors the zoo has ever had.
The Deputy Director reports that 1,80,117 visitors toured the adjacent State Botanical Garden, while 37,71,980 people visited the zoo. 32,32,126 adults, 7,19,178 children, and 793 international visitors made up the visiting base.
Entry tickets, camera fees, and parking fees brought in ₹16.35 crore for the zoo, while outsourcing facilities brought in an extra ₹5.87 crore. Through animal adoption programs, a record ₹3.15 crore was raised, demonstrating the increased public interest in conservation initiatives.
