The ‘Mukhya Mantri Sabha Ghar’ (chief minister meeting room) program was introduced in western Odisha on Friday by chief minister Naveen Patnaik. In accordance with the plan, 2,000 Kalyan Mandaps and neighborhood auditoriums would be built in western Odisha at a cost of Rs 25 crore. The program, which will be implemented as part of the state government’s 5T initiative, intends to encourage individuals to participate in sociocultural activities.
The development of western Odisha has always been a priority for the state administration, according to the chief minister, who spoke on the occasion through video conference. “For this objective, the Western Odisha Development Council’s (WODC) budget has been increased. I often meet with the local people’s representatives to discuss development initiatives the government should pursue, he continued.
Naveen stated the government has launched several programs and initiatives in agriculture, manufacturing, mining, education, and art and culture for the economic uplift of the people of the area. He asserted that the western region plays a significant role in the development of the whole state.
“Work is now being done to alter the Maa Samaleswari, Harisankar, and Nrusinghnath temples, and measures are also being taken to enhance the infrastructure of other temples. The chief minister’s office oversees the implementation of every project, according to Naveen.
Ministers Rajendra Prasad Dholakia from Deogarh, Rita Sahu from Bargarh, and Tukuni Sahu from Titlagarh participated in the video conference. Asit Tripathy, the WODC chairman, was also present.
On this occasion, the chief minister also laid a foundation stone and opened a number of projects totaling Rs 33.58 crore. Included in this list are the Gadiajor Bridge in Balangir, the Town Hall in Titlagarh, the Eco Museum in Bargarh, the Auditorium in Deogarh, the Brajmohan High School Students’ Hostel in Kalahandi, and the GM College Auditorium in Sambalpur.
