A team of National Investigation Agency (NIA) visited Cuttack and questioned Ranjit Bhola’s family, who narrowly escaped the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22. The family was present at the Baisaran Ghat in Pahalgam when the attack occurred and witnessed the brutal act.
The NIA team questioned the family members for two hours, gathering more information about the incident. Earlier, the NIA team had visited Balasore to interrogate the family of Prashant Satpathy, who lost his life in the same attack. Ranjit Bhola’s family shared their harrowing experience, describing how they hid under a rack to escape the terrorists’ gunfire.
“We were taking pictures when the gunfire started. Our son warned us to hide, and we did. The terrorists killed people right in front of us. Luckily, we survived,” they recounted.
In order to get further information and reconstruct the circumstances leading up to the attack, the NIA is conducting a multi-pronged investigation into the incident.
