The Nobel Prize Week 2020 will be conducted on the digital platform where the laureates will be getting their medals and diplomas in their respective countries via video conferencing. According to the Nobel Foundation, this decision was made due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Officials stated that on 7th and 8th December the Nobel Laureates would receive their medals and diplomas in ceremonial presentations in their countries. This will be shown in the online prize award ceremonies from Oslo and Stockholm on 10th December.

The officials from the Nobel foundation further informed that on 10th December King of Sweden Carl XVI Gustaf would participate through video greeting at Golden Hall at the Stockholm City Hal, where the Nobel Foundation will pay applause to this year’s laureates, Rebecka Oxelstr m, Head of Press. Musical interludes will also be there at the event. Stefan Forsberg, Executive and Artistic Director of Konserthuset Stockholm, will perform directed by Linus Fellbom.
This year the Nobel Prize amount is estimated at Swedish kronor (SEK) 10.0 million per full Nobel Prize courtesy of a legacy left 124 years ago by the prize’s creator, Swedish inventor Alfred Nobel.
