In an unfortunate turn of events, an Odia BSF Jawan has died during his posting at Shilong. As per the reports, the Jawan has died in a freak accident. The deceased jawan, Jayprakash Mohapatra was from Aranchal village under Nirakarpur police limits in Khurda district.
Jayprakash was training new recruiters about driving in the mountains when a new recruiter could not control his vehicle and ran over him. He was severely injured and died before taking to the hospital.
Family members of Mohapatra informed that his mortal remains will reach his native village Aranchal on Wednesday. He is survived by wife and one daughter, reports added.
