The Odisha AI Centre of Excellence (CoE) has received approval from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), marking a significant step towards strengthening the state’s artificial intelligence ecosystem.
As part of the initiative, Blue Cloud is set to invest ₹4 crore in the Centre. The investment is expected to support the development of AI-focused infrastructure, technology capabilities and innovation initiatives in Odisha.
The Centre of Excellence is envisioned as a platform to promote AI research, industry collaboration, entrepreneurship and skill development, while creating opportunities for students, startups and technology professionals.
The MeitY nod also positions Odisha to further integrate AI into emerging technology and digital-development initiatives, potentially supporting applications across sectors and encouraging greater collaboration between government, academia and industry.
With the proposed investment from Blue Cloud, the Odisha AI Centre of Excellence is expected to contribute to the state’s broader efforts to build a stronger technology ecosystem and develop AI talent for future industry requirements.
