Budget Session Of Odisha's Assembly Starts From Today

The Odisha Parliament was postponed until 4 PM today after BJP members in the House of Representatives caused turmoil over the Congress MP’s statement to President Draupadi Murmu.

Immediately after the House was convened at 10:30 AM to commemorate the day, BJP members rushed to the fountain of the House, angry over Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury’s “Rashtrapatni” remarks to President Draupadi Murmu. The MP was asked by the BJP leaders of the parliament to apologize.

After the riots, speaker Bikram Keshari Arukha was forced to postpone the assembly until 4 PM. After the House of Representatives was postponed, BJP MLA staged a dharna at the parliamentary venue and waved a placard against Congress.
