Odisha Awarded For Technology Applications In Public Services

For the application of technologies, the Odisha government has received two awards in the Public services. The State’s COVID Dashboard and the Integrated Legal Monitoring System of the Government were awarded by the “Tech Sabha,” which is an initiative of the Express Group.

The State is awarded under distinction in enterprising analytics applications and big data applications, sequentially. Integrated Legal Monitoring System (ILMS) has been operated out in 12 different departments to take on the crucial hurdle of case pendency. Similarly, Covid Dash Board expedited optimized enlargement for retailing upsurge in incidence, ensuring necessary accumulations, or emergency needs for citizens and compensation to the vulnerable population. It also assisted as an information hub for researchers from over the globe. The School and Mass Education was the first department to implement the system in 2017 and witnessed a drastic fall in number cases from 80,000 to around 24,000 in two years. Even the ILMS also keeps track of the legal cases filed against the Government and brings accountability in legal matters. According to the official statements, Odisha’s COVID-19 Dashboard created in the wake of Coronavirus pandemic has been acclaimed at the National and International levels. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik expressed his gratitude and said that Odisha, now driven by the 5T initiative, has been continuously introducing technology in bringing transformation in the lives of people of the State.
