Odisha CEO Reviews Preparations For Special Revision Of 2026 Electoral Rolls

The comparison of electoral rolls from 2002 to 2025, the processing of applications received through Forms 6, 7, and 8, the ability to print and distribute enumeration forms to BLOs as soon as the schedule is released, and the steps to fill open positions related to election duties were all topics of discussion.

The logistical arrangements were also reviewed, including plans to conduct a second round of training for BLOs and other election functionaries, readiness for holding press conferences and meetings with political parties on the day of SIR declaration, and manpower support for uploading enumeration forms at centralized locations.

“The Special Intensive Revision is an important step in ensuring the credibility of the state’s electoral process, and its success will depend on the efficiency and coordination of officials at every level,” the CEO stated, emphasizing that openness and correctness must remain key to the exercise.
