On Wednesday, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik approved a budget of Rs 39 crore to build three substantial bridges in the Bargarh district. The decision will assist the district’s around 7.25 lakh residents. The new bridges, according to the chief minister, would aid in assuring the socioeconomic growth of residents in the district in addition to meeting communication demands. 5T Secretary V K Pandian visited Bargarh in June, according to a statement made by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), where he evaluated a number of development programs. He notified the chief minister of the many demands for bridges made by the public.

One of the major bridges among those approved will be built at Barpali. It will be built above the Barpali Jilot Canal. The 120-meter-long bridge would cost Rs 15 million to construct. By linking the Bargarh and Barpali blocks, it would enable communication with the district office. About 2.25 lakh individuals would benefit from the bridge.

The construction of a 60-meter-long bridge over the Aagan canal in the Bargarh municipality region has also been approved for Rs 12 crore. 2.5 lakh people would benefit from the connection between Bheden Block and Bargarh District Headquarters. On Sarala Canal, a new bridge will be constructed. This 150-meter-long bridge has been given a budget of around Rs 12 crore. 2.50 lakh people would benefit from the connection between Bhatli, Bargarh, and the Attabira block headquarters.
