Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik advised the State administration to remain vigilant and continue awareness programmes while reviewing the Covid-19 situation in the State through video conferencing.
According to the official reports, CM Patnaik stated that while the number of active Covid cases in the State remains stagnant, there has been a reduction in new Covid cases. There has been not much pressure on hospitals during the third wave, but this should not be point for self-satisfaction.
Further the Chief Minister advised the administration to remain fully prepared and keep a watch over the situation. He also advised to keep the awareness programmes going with the active cooperation of Mission Shakti groups. He further advised the police to be especially careful to ensure that people strictly follow Covid safety regulations.
He also advised the Rapid Response Teams and field workers for proper management and monitoring of health conditions of Covid patients in home isolation. He also urged the people to strictly observe Covid safety guidelines without panicking.
In the meeting, Municipal Commissioners of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack and Collectors of Khordha and Rayagada among others made presentations on the situation in their respective areas.
