Odisha Gets Rs 73,723 Cr Railway Boost for development of railways

Rs 73,723 crore has been approved by the Center to improve Odisha’s railroads. While posting comprehensive details on social media, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the clearance. The building of the railway divisional office would cost Rs 107 crore, and the planned Rayagada railway division in Odisha has been authorized. The East Coast Railway will be divided into three railway sections. The Amrut Station Scheme is also being used to renovate 59 stations in Odisha.

During Modi’s third term, the cabinet approved eight new railway projects worth Rs 19,289 crore. These projects include:

The projects approved by the cabinet are;
1. Gunupur-Therubali New Railway Line
2. Junagarh Road-Nabarangpur New Railway Line
3. Malkangiri-Pandurangapuram via Bhadrachalam New Railway Line
4. Badampahad-Kendujhargarh New Railway Line
5. Bangiriposhi-Gorumahisani New Railway Line
6. Budamara-Chakulia New Railway Line
7. Sardega-Bhalumuda New Doubling Railway Line
8. Bargarh Road-Nuapada Road New Railway Line

The railway minister also spoke with Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and other Odisha MPs.
