Odisha government has decided to set up a Special Adarsha Vidyalaya in the disputed area which will help to take forward the development activities forward in the Kotia region.
According to the official reports, the school will come up at Ganjeipadar village under Pottangi block in Koraput district to provide quality education to the children of the villages nearby Kotia. Primarily, the school will function in the buildings that have been built for the development of SC and ST people in Ganjeipadar. However, the school will be shifted as soon as the new building for the Special Adarsha Vidyalaya is built in the area.
The report further added that the CBSE School will be built to divert the children in the area from pursuing education via the Telugu language. Koraput Collector Abdaal Akhtar stated that it was a long-standing necessity in the region. He also stated that they are happy that the State government accepted the proposal of the district administration immediately and the necessary grant has been provided. He hoped that the students in the area will get quality education after the school is functional.
