Odisha Govt Clears 31 Projects Worth Rs 4954 Cr, To Generate Over 24K Jobs

In its 131st meeting, presided over by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) of the Odisha government authorized 31 creative projects with a combined value of ₹4,954.26 crore, which is projected to generate 24,162 new jobs. An official press release states that these investments, which cover a range of industries, will change Odisha’s economic environment and strengthen the state’s reputation as a top investment destination. In addition, it is anticipated that the approved projects will generate 24,162 new work opportunities, boosting employment growth and the region’s overall economic development.

A number of projects in a number of industries were approved by the SLSWCA, including Plastics, Food, Beverage & Allied Sectors, Agro Processing, Tourism, Power & Renewable Energy, Food Processing, Packaging, Apparel & Textiles, Bio-Fuel, Green Energy Equipment, ESDM, Steel (Ancillary), Non-Metallic Mineral Products (Refractory Products), Steel (Downstream), and Steel (Ancillary).

Districts like Khordha, Bargarh, Subarnapur, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Angul, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Balasore, Rayagada, Dhenkanal, Puri, Paradeep, Koraput, Kendrapara, Mayurbhanj, and Sundargarh would all be affected by the projects’ implementation. It is anticipated that the ₹4,954.26 crore investment will generate 24,162 job opportunities in the state. Polimiroir India Private Limited, which would invest ₹128.00 crore and create 200 employment, will manufacture, coat, and service industrial steel rollers with an annual capacity of 3,000 units in the mechanical and electrical capital goods industry.

At an estimated cost of ₹190.00 crore, Danieli India Limited is constructing a manufacturing facility that will generate 380 employment. With a ₹51.00 crore investment, Parth Electricals and Engineering Private Limited would manufacture electrical equipment with a focus, creating 145 jobs. With a ₹95.00 crore investment, Bisleri International Private Limited is establishing a beverage production business in the food processing industry, generating 426 employment. With an investment of ₹50.00 crore, Jay Bharat Spices Private Limited would build a 68,000 MTPA corn starch production facility, creating 200 employment. 95 employment would be created by GAK Rice Private Limited’s ₹70.15 crore investment in a state-of-the-art integrated rice mill with a 1,44,000 TPA capacity.
