Odisha Govt To Regularise Services Of OTET-Passed Teachers

On Friday, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said that teachers who have passed the OTET as Med Teachers (Ex Cadre) will have their employment regularized by the government. The state’s 12,113 math teachers will gain from the verdict.

1,472 teachers in the state would profit from the Chief Minister’s decision, according to an official statement. In a same vein, 1,121 math teachers will profit from an increase in the monthly gratuity for teachers who failed the OTET, from Rs 7,000 to Rs 10,000.

In addition to these, Assistant Teachers (Ex Cadre) who are not getting annual increments and the Assistant Teachers (Ex Cadre) who have passed OTET will be given annual increments. This will benefit 9,520 assistant teachers (ex-cadre).

During his district visits, 5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman VK Pandian, Gana Sikhyaks at different places requested him to regularise their services. Taking this proposal into consideration, the Chief Minister has taken the above decision.
