Odisha Govt To Start PhD Course For Medical Students

Odisha government is going to start PhD courses for medical students for the first time in the State. Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling hailed it as a significant achievement. To enhance healthcare education, research, and management, Odisha University of Health Sciences signed MoUs with AIIMS Bhubaneswar,Sri Sri University, IIT Bhubaneswar, XIMB Bhubaneswar.

According to an official announcement, more collaborations with PGIMER Chandigarh, JIPMER Pondicherry, SGPGI Lucknow, and other institutions are anticipated. Prominent scholars Dr. Yogesh Vashist (Germany), Prof. Anil Agarwal (Delhi), Prof. Gitanjali Batmanabane (Vizag), and Prof. Vikram Kate (JIPMER Pondicherry) will also work with Odisha University of Health Sciences.

By improving student education, research, and teacher-student information exchange, these collaborations hope to open doors for novel health education and research programs as well as integrated studies.
