The Utkarsh Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave 2025 ended with great success, and Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi reiterated Odisha’s dedication to being a worldwide investment destination. A total of 145 investment-related Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) totaling ₹12.89 lakh crore were signed, he said, highlighting the tremendous response from investors. These MoUs were signed in important industries like chemicals & petrochemicals, textiles, mining & metallurgy, renewable energy, IT/ITeS, tourism, and food processing. It is anticipated that these investments would create more than 8.94 lakh employment possibilities, guaranteeing substantial socioeconomic growth throughout the state.
In addition, 448 investment intention forms totaling ₹3.84 lakh crore were submitted, with a potential employment of 3.92 lakh. Overall, 593 projects totaling ₹16.73 lakh billion in investments and the potential for 12.88 lakh jobs in more than 20 sectors were secured by Odisha. The chief minister emphasized Odisha’s increasing standing as a major international investment destination and said the conference had strengthened the state’s standing internationally. The event was attended by delegates from more than 16 nations, including Partner Nations Australia, Malaysia, and Singapore. He urged enterprises to establish Odisha as their commercial hub for exports, stating that the state hopes to serve as the entry point to South-Eastern nations.
