Due to the recent spike in the cases of Coronavirus in states like Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, the Odisha Government has alerted people with new and fresh guidelines to prevent the spread of the virus.
According to the report the new strain is termed as to be more dangerous and highly contagious than the old one. Due to which the Health and Family Welfare department has alert the people to seriously follow the appropriate regulations to avoid any new strain of the virus. The situation of Covid-19 is under control in Odisha but the people are advised to be in control and the daily positive cases are hovering below one hundred.
The report further informed that the new strain has more symptoms like – report fever, nausea, vomiting, body ache, diarrhea, loss of appetite, sore throat, and nasal congestion. The major cause of concern is that the new variant of the Covid-19 virus can remain alive on the dry object for around eight days and can enter the human body so easily than the older one.
To avoid any lockdown situation in the future the Health Department has advised people to remain alert and also suggested taking the vaccine shot when their turn comes. After taking their vaccination people are also advised to continue wear mask, wash hand frequently and maintain physical distance and avoid public gathering.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had also appealed to people to follow the Covid guidelines and achieve the zero infection target. He also stated that one should not lower the guard against the virus and be smug as there is still a threat of the coronavirus staging a comeback.
