Having won the silver medal at the famous 43rd India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2024, which was hosted at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, Odisha Mandap (Odisha Pavilion) has once again brought honors to the state. Odisha has received recognition in the event for the third year in a row. Pradeep Singh Kharola, the Chairman and Managing Director of the India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO), presented the thematic presentation award to Vishal Gagan, the Principal Resident Commissioner of Odisha in New Delhi. At the felicitation ceremony were Exhibition Officer Deepak Kumar Sahu, Director of Odisha Mandap Ashwini Kumar Bhoi, and Additional Director Santosh Kumar Das.
The Odisha Mandap, with the theme “Vikshit Bharat, Vikshit Odisha” (Developed India, Developed Odisha), was notable for its eye-catching design that skillfully combined the story of India’s technical advancement with the state’s historic architectural wonders.
A duplicate of the famous Mukteswar temple gate at the entry, elaborate reconstructions of the Konark Sun Temple, Buddhist artifacts from Ratnagiri, and a future bullet train representing Odisha’s transition from tradition to modernity were among the highlights. The pavilion, which was overseen by the Odisha government’s Information and Public Relations Department, included 25 stalls that displayed items and products made by the state’s craftsmen.
