There is a slight increase in the daily COVID cases in Odisha. However, the rate might not be that alarming as the total number of daily active COVID cases is well below 200. As per the reports, in the last 24 hours 169 new COVID cases has been detected, 15 more than the previous day. (154)
The state had registered 173 COVID cases on Thursday, 218 positive cases on Wednesday, 175 cases on Tuesday, and 178 cases on Monday.

According to the I & PR Department, 97 of the new infections are from quarantine and 72 local contacts. Among them, 29 are in the age group of 0-18 years. Khurda reported the highest of 88 new cases followed by Sambalpur at 10. Fourteen districts reported nil cases.
