Odisha is experiencing one of its chilliest winter ever this year. While every winter there is coldess around the atmosphere, but this year it is shivering. It has been decades where the whole of Odisha hasn’t experienced these shivering temperatures where the mercury level is going below consistantly.

Yesterday, Daringbadi recorded the season’s lowest minimum temperature of 3.5 degree Celsius. With the cold wave sweeping the state, the mercury plummeted below 10 degree Celsius at 19 places. Phulbani recorded 4 degree Celsius, followed by Bhawanipatna (6), Keonjhar (6.2), Jharsiguda (6.4), Sundargarh (6.5) and Titlagarh (6.8), the India Meteorological Department said.
The twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded 10 and 10.1 degree Celsius, respectively. The cold wave is expected to continue till Christmas this year.
