Odisha To Form 10 New ODRAF Teams & Build 500 Cyclone Centers: CM

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi declared today that Odisha will create ten more teams of the Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF) to enhance reaction and management during natural catastrophes. In order to strengthen grassroots disaster response skills, the Chief Minister also announced intentions to create local reaction teams in each revenue village throughout the state.

Additionally, in addition to the 844 multifunctional cyclone centers that are now in existence, 500 more will be built throughout Odisha. The government intends to increase the number of mangrove trees along the coastlines in an effort to improve coastal resilience. Furthermore, a cutting-edge Natural Disaster Management Center will be built in Bhubaneswar to provide top-notch training in disaster preparedness and response.
