Odisha registered an awe-inspiring growth of 55% in exports up to November in the current financial year during the Coronavirus pandemic.
While inaugurating the State Export Award 2021, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in a video conferencing stated that Odisha has gained an exceptional accomplishment by the exporters in the face of global recession and potent international competition. Odisha registered an awe-inspiring growth of 55% in exports despite the Covid pandemic situation.
CM Patnaik further stated that the quality if a product is an essential factor for boosting export, and the producer should think about the world-class standard while making an allowance for the quality of their products.

Chief Minister Patnaik also congratulated the exporting community of Odisha and hoped that the upward trend would continue in the coming years. The State Government is striving to create a conducive atmosphere that will promote export through greater ease of doing business and implementing 5T mechanism, infrastructure support and facilities for the quality standardization.
He further said that Odisha is among the top five states in the Export Preparedness Index (EPI) 2020, which is released by the Niti Aayog. The state government’s effort to promote the exports is showing efforts in boosting the export turnover consistently.
He added that the district level export promotion committee has been constituted in each district to facilitate local products’ export. The departmental stores in Europe and America will showcase the products made up by our Women Self Help Groups from Kalahandi, Kandhamal and Malkangiri.
