A Special Court in Cuttack today sentenced a retired Divisional Manager (DM) of OFDC Ltd, Angul Rasananda Pradhan to undergo two years of rigorous imprisonment (RI) after convicting him for possession of disproportionate assets worth Rs 17,03,975 to his known sources of income.
The Special Court also slapped a fine of Rs 50,000 on Pradhan, in default of payment of the fine, he has to undergo RI for a further period of six months, said an official press release.
Pradhan was charge-sheeted by the Odisha Vigilance for amassing Rs 17,03,975 worth of disproportionate assets to his known sources of income, the release added.
According to the release, Odisha Vigilance will now move the competent authority for the stoppage of Pradhan’s pension.
