On Friday more than 40 people were injured after the van the got overturned on the Biju highway near Pipla village in Dharamgarh Block in Karahandi district.
The incident reportedly occurred when the ill-fated vehicle was carrying harvest workers en route from Palaspani village to Dharamgarh, the van driver lost control of the steering wheel and the accident occured.
More than 40 people subsequently suffered life-threatening injuries. All are currently admitted to Dharamgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital.
