CEO OYO Hotels and Homes Ritesh Agarwal have set to shoot the projectile of tripling its room count in Himachal Pradesh in the coming next two years.

A meeting conducted with the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Friday, OYO founder Mr Agarwal apprised him regarding how the company has been efficiently taking over economic opportunities in Himachal.

This has undoubtedly benefitted that has committed to generating more employment and entrepreneurship through the growing network of its hotels and homes in the state, and OYO spokesperson said on Saturday.

OYO constructed its idea of concept in the year 2015, and since then it has grown up over 570 hotels and 7,500 rooms, especially in Shimla, Dharamsala, Kasauli, and Manali.

It has enabled its chain while developing over 3,000 indirect job opportunities, that has lead to a fair amount of work to be appraised.

It could be kept as an appraisal that tripling of the room count may lead to provide more job opportunities by 2022.

Agarwal initiated CM Thakur that the state has emerged as the strongest performing markets for OYO as mostly tourists emerge from that particular tourist destination.
The company is committed to doubling economic opportunities and its presence in the state shortly.

OYO has further planned to encourage growth and support progress by launching a startup accelerator programme.
This would partner to groom budding entrepreneurs from the state in the travel and hospitality business, he added.
