Gyana Das, the Director, Panchayati Raj stated that the Panchayat elections in Odisha are likely to be held in 2022, in a letter to the Collectors of all districts.
According to the reports, Gyana Das in a letter stated that General Election to the Panchayati Raj Institutions is likely to be held in the State in the year 2022. Further, the reservation of seats is required to be completed within the time frame at the district and Government levels as per the provision of the PRI Act/Rules.
The State Government has released a schedule for the programme for reservation of seats for the ensuing general election to PRIs in 2022.
