Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Pawan Kalyan met with Space Kidz India members and Russian cosmonaut Sergey Korsakov on Sunday. During their meeting, they talked about the prospect of constructing a space park in Andhra Pradesh to educate students about space technology. Korsakov and others were visited by Pawan Kalyan, the Minister of Science and Technology, in his Hyderabad home. He emphasized that the country might gain a great deal from developments in space science.
After spending half a year on the International Space Station, Korsakov gave a wealth of knowledge about space travel. The meeting was attended by Yagna, the COO of Space Kidz India, and Dr. Srimathy Kesan, the company’s founder and CEO, along other representatives. The necessity of raising public understanding of space technology was emphasized by the Deputy Chief Minister. He said that the state will support students pursuing careers in science.
According to Pawan Kalyan, who is also in charge of Panchayat Raj, Rural Development, Rural Water Supply, and Environment, if the developments in space research are applied wisely, they can contribute to the country’s continued progress. The politician and actor believed that students should be made aware of space technology. Representatives from the company gave Pawan Kalyan an explanation of their research and a satellite that they had created. The small satellite deployer manufactured by the company was explained to the Deputy CM. Space Kidz staff informed Pawan Kalyan that NASA is the only organization in the US has a space park; there isn’t one in India.
The Deputy CM responded positively when they said that if a space park is developed in Andhra Pradesh, it can help in creating awareness among students about space technology. Pawan Kalyan felicitated Korsakov and presented him with a miniature model of Chandrayaan-3. He enquired about the Russian cosmonaut’s experiences in space. The Deputy Chief Minister also shared the recipe of choice Russian dishes prepared on the occasion.
