Recently Amazon was involved in a legal battle because of selling Lord Jagannath’s revered dry Prasad‘  Nirmalya’ online; now, Pinterest is also in the same trouble for a similar reason.

E-commerce Pinterest is another online shopping company similar to Amazon, lands itself in legal trouble as one of the servitors of Sri Jagannath Temple Sambhunath Khuntia who has alleged it has advertised to sell the ‘Abadha’ Prasad and other dry Prasad of Lord Jagannath through online.

After the incident, the servitor has lodged a complaint at the Singhdwar Police station in this regard. The one who had registered the case against Amazon by Sri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) and servitor group, Suara-Mahasuara Nijog, for selling dry Prasad of Shri Jagannath is similar to register against Pinterest.

According to the SJTA and a group of servitors of the 12th-century sepulcher claimed that Amazon had not taken former permission from the temple administrations before promulgating advertisements to sell the divine food.

They further put allegations on online companies stating that these companies are trying to destroy the sacred Prasad’s sanctification and purity for profits. At least, even before selling it or putting an Advertisement, the companies should have taken permission once from the Shri Jagannath Mandir’s authority.
