Pond cleaning using an amphibious weed harvester begins in Berhampur

The Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) in Odisha’s Ganjam district began cleaning the city’s water bodies with an amphibious weed harvester vessel equipment as part of its cleanliness and beautification campaign. On Wednesday, the Swedish-made Truxor T-50 machine started working in the 33-acre Beda Bandha Pond in the presence of Berhampur MP Chandra Sekhar Sahu.The weed harvester cleans 1 acre of weeds in a pond per day and would take at least one month to clean Beda Bandha.
