Pravasi Bharatiya Divas: 2,748 Guests Registered; Trinidad & Tobago President To Be Chief Guest

The Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, which will be celebrated from January 8 to 10, is anticipated to draw over 7,000 foreign visitors, with a major celebration held at the Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar. Up to 2,748 visitors have signed up so far. The main guest at the massive celebration will be Christine Carla Kangaloo, president of Trinidad and Tobago. The “Pravasi Bharatiya Express” will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The last stages of the event preparations are being reviewed by Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at Lok Seva Bhavan. More high-security personnel, traffic controllers, and liaison officers have been sent in to make sure the visitors have a safe and easy stay. Beautiful lights adorn the streets, office buildings, and landmarks of the completely cleaned and disinfected metropolis.

A number of cultural events, such as the Adivasi Mela, Ekamra Festival, and Pathotsav, will also be featured at the event. Live broadcasts of music and dance festivals will highlight Odisha’s rich artistic legacy. 31 tourism destinations throughout the state will be visited by guests, while Odisha’s cultural legacy will be shown in a pavilion at the Janata Maidan. With more than 2,000 journalists, YouTubers, and bloggers from seven nations taking part, the event has attracted a lot of media attention. Social media, television, and ads in three languages—Odia, Hindi, and English—have all been used to notify the public about the event.
