Beginning Monday, President Droupadi Murmu will embark on a two-day visit in Uttar Pradesh, where she will participate in convocation programs and launch many projects. President Murmu will take part in three historic projects in the cities of Bareilly and Gorakhpur when she is in the state. She will also travel a considerable distance to get to Gorakhpur. The President will be present at the Indian Veterinary Research Institute’s XI convocation event in Bareilly on June 30. She will also participate in AIIMS Gorakhpur’s inaugural convocation ceremony later in the day.
The Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath AYUSH University in Gorakhpur will be officially opened by the president on July 1. President Droupadi Murmu will visit the inaugural convocation of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Gorakhpur, which was also Yogi Adityanath’s former Lok Sabha seat. There, she would present medals to a few students. In addition, the President will visit Mahayogi Gorakhnath University in Gorakhpur, where she will lay the cornerstone for a new girls’ hostel and open the university’s auditorium, academic block, and panchkarma kendra.
One of the main attractions of President Murmu’s two-day trip to Uttar Pradesh will be her lengthy road excursion, which would cover a record 129 kilometers between the state’s cities. The President will drive 37 kilometers between the airport, the circuit house, AIIMS, and the Gorakhnath shrine after arrival at Gorakhpur airport. She would travel an additional 92 kilometers the next day to go to the airport, Gorakhnath Temple, Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath Ayush University, and Mahayogi Gorakhnath University Arogyadham Sonbarsa.
Notably, she is the first President who will undertake such a long road journey in the state. Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has already reviewed preparations for the President’s programmes at the Mahayogi Gorakhnath University and the road route to various places.
