Entry of people into Dhabaleswar Temple and its adjoining areas has been strictly prohibited by the district administration of Cuttack to prevent the gathering of a large crowd during the Panchaka, Anla Navami and Bada Osha festivals as per Covid protocols.
According to the reports, Section 144 of the CrPC has been clamped in and around the shrine from November 12 till November 19 (Kartik Purnima). During this time, it is anticipated huge crowd and also people will violate the covid-19 protocol, so the Executive Magistrate, Athagarh has restrained the public from entering the shrine till the aforementioned period. Police have been instructed to strictly enforce the restrictions on the movement of the public at Dhabaleswar Main Gate, Tollgate of Hanging Bridge and Dhabaleswar Beat House at Mancheswar.
The report further added that during this period only sevayats will be allowed to enter the shrine and perform necessary rituals. Also, the Puri district authorities have also clamped Section 144 in and around the temple of Lord Gopinath at Sakhigopal to prevent a congregation of people on the occasion of Anla Navami.
