Bollywood director Ram Gopal Verma always managed to headline whether for his films or for his tweets. Ram Gopal Verma has signed Odis girl Ankita Rani Maharana in his upcoming venture ‘Apsara Rani’.
He tweeted “Never even thought of Odisha as a talent pool for the film industry. But going by @apsara_rani_ coming from there, both the rest of the country and Odisha itself should be seriously looking at Odisha.” He also shared some of the stills from his upcoming project.
Seems like the director has lesser-known facts about the artists in Odisha who have already made their way in Bollywood. Artists like – Nandita Das, Sona Mohapatra, Mira Nair, Chandrachur Singh, and many more have gone all the way to Bollywood, earned a name, and made the state of Odisha proud!
