Record One Day Jump Of 97,570 COVID-19 Cases


India’s COVID-19 Cases count raised to 46,59,984 as it recorded the greatest single-day spike in cases with 97,570 new patients over the 24 hours, as per the Health Ministry data.

This is the third day in a raw that India has logged a record number of cases. Recently, the Ministry said 96,551 new cases were recorded in the past 24 hours. A raise of 95,735 new cases was accounted for on Thursday. The most noteworthy number of deaths in a solitary day-1,209 – was recorded on Friday.

36 lakh patients have recuperated up until now; about 9.58 lakh covid-19 cases – 20.56% of the cases – are active. India revealed a record 81,533 recuperations over the 24 hours, as per the Health Ministry. 1,201 deaths have been reported since yesterday, taking the number of fatalities to 77,472.

The nation has logged the second-highest number of cases on the world tally after the United States, where the count has surged to about 64 lakh cases. India’s recuperation rate remained at 77.77 percent, while the casualty rate was recorded at 1.6 percent.

In a tweet early today, the Health Ministry said the difference between the level of recuperated cases and the level of active cases is dynamically becoming wide.

“The hole between %Recovered Cases and %Active Cases dynamically becoming wide. More than 3/4 of complete cases (more than 36L) recouped and released. Dynamic Cases (under 10.5L) just a little extent (under 1/4) of all out cases. (sic),” the tweet read.

Maharashtra, the most affected state in the nation, crossed 10 lakh cases on Friday with a record spike of 24,886 new cases. The state has logged 28,724 deaths, 393 deaths were accounted for on Friday.
