Red Cross rapid response group holds virtual meeting for its members.

Amid the surge in covid-19 cases where in-person meetings have been barred to contain the spread of the virus, Red Cross rapid response group of Dhenkanal conducted a virtual meeting for its members. District Magistrate and Collector Shri Bhumesh Chandra Behera joined the meeting and addressed the volunteers as Covid-19 warriors.

He advised the volunteers to wear mask and maintain social distancing to keep the virus at bay. He also advised to follow the Covid-19 protocols. The responsibilities and duties of the volunteers were discussed in the meeting. Worth mentioning that Shri Behera also urged the volunteers to come forward to help performing the last rites of covid-19 victims, feeding cows and bulls, feeding the poor and disabled’s.

Volunteers were also advised to raise awareness in their respective villages, panchayats and blocks. All the members present during the virtual meeting shared their views and pledged to co-operate with the district administration to free the district from the clutch of the novel coronavirus. Rotarian Raj Kishore Behera coordinated the meet while Vice-President Rotarian Biranchi Narayan Pany congratulate and shared his best wishes with everyone.
