Revenue Department Proposes ‘Ama Gaanre Ama Tahasil’ Programme

Suresh Pujari, the Minister for Revenue and Disaster Management, presided over a high-level meeting at Lok Seva Bhawan. The Revenue & Disaster Management Department’s successes over the last two years were thoroughly discussed during the meeting. The Minister gave staff instructions to make sure that all citizens are adequately served by revenue services.

Addressing the meeting, the Minister stated, “What we consider as our achievement is not the real success; rather, the schemes and initiatives that are accepted and appreciated by the common people as successful are our true achievements.” In this context, discussions were also held regarding several new initiatives and future action plans of the Department.

State-level senior officials have been instructed to conduct field visits to their respective districts in the upcoming days and will be tasked with serving as Nodal officials for various districts. Senior officials will spend the night in the districts during these trips, engage with the public to get their opinions on government revenue services, and raise public knowledge of the Department’s primary public-oriented services.

Additionally, the Revenue Department will shortly introduce the “Ama Gaanre Ama Tahasil (Tahasil At Doorstep)” program as a fresh effort to provide Tahasil services to the local level. As instructed by Revenue Minister Pujari, Tahasil Camp Courts would be set up at the village and Panchayat levels in the upcoming days. Tahasil officials will now reach villages directly through these Camp Courts to provide prompt resolution of public grievances and important revenue services like correction of Record of Rights (RoR), demarcation, and other revenue-related services. Previously, people had to visit Tahasil offices for various services. Additionally, the Minister ordered that complaints pertaining to revenue services be considered by these Camp Courts and that timely service delivery be guaranteed.
