The price rise of onion is tremendously affecting the consumers in the state. The price of onion in the state witnessed an uprising since last few days, which is terribly affecting the consumers. The price is towering ₹45-50 as of now.
The price was Rs 25-30 during first of October and the hike gradually paced up, then it increases to ₹45-50 per kg as of now, common people are suffering the most as onion is served as the basic and most important ingredient for their dishes at their kitchen.
The effect can also be spectated at different restaurants, Food stalls and dhabas where onion was served with high priority, has now been reduced in terms of serving quantity.
Sushant Behera, a consumer said, ” The price rise in onion is posing many difficulties for, last year also we saw a tremendous price rise of onion, as onion is served as a primary ingredient in our kitchen it’s really affecting a lot. Govt. Should try to take necessary steps to curb the price rise.”
