The twin towns of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack have increased security in preparation for President Draupadi Murmu’s three-day visit to Odisha beginning on Tuesday. The President will take part in seven events on Wednesday in Cuttack and a few more on Thursday in Bhubaneswar. Murmu would spend the night in Raj Bhavan after taking a special airplane to go to the Bhubaneswar airport.
Separate carcade rehearsals were conducted on Monday in Cuttack, according to DCP Bhubaneswar Prateek Singh’s statement to the media on Tuesday. “We have sent 12 Additional DCPs, 25 ACPs, 40 Inspectors, 120 ASIs, and 36 police platoons to ensure the President’s safety during her visit to Odisha. In order to guarantee that her programs are not impacted by the rain, we have also enlisted the assistance of specialists. On Wednesday, the President will travel to Cuttack for the first time since taking office and will stay all day. There are seven events she will attend.
Before visiting the Madhu Museum on the Rakbala College campus, the President would first offer prayers at the Goddess Cuttack Chandi shrine. After that, she will go to the Netaji Birthplace Museum and the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium will host the 75th inauguration of the Odisha High Court. Additionally, President Murmu will go to the recently opened legal museum.
The President will take part in the convocation of the National Law University after attending the annual event of the Cuttack SCB Medical College and Hospital. We are glad to report that we are celebrating the 10th batch of our students graduating, National Law University Vice-Chancellor Professor Ved Kumari said on Sunday while briefing the media on the President’s visit. We are pleased that the Indian President has consented to attend the convocation.
At Tamando Dasbatia in Bhubaneswar, President Murmu is expected to lay the cornerstone for Prajapita Brahma Kumari’s Divine Light House on July 27. She would then go to Balipada’s public gathering.
