Shocking revelations by Partho Dasgupta- “Arnav Goswami paid me ₹4M to fix TRP ratings”

For Arnab Goswami, the editor-in-chief of Republic TV and a senior journalist, the controversy has grown. Arnab, who is embroiled in a TRP manipulation case, has been charged with felony criminal mischief. Former Bark (BARC) India CEO Partho Dasgupta has once again begun to discuss the written statement made to the Mumbai police. In a written statement, Partho Dasgupta said Arnab had given her $ 12,000. “During his three years in office, Arnab paid a total of Rs 4 million to fix his channel’s TRP,” he said.

He noted that the money had been used to manipulate Republic TV’s TRP. The information was obtained from the Supplemental Charge Sheet, which was filed by the Mumbai Police in connection with the TRP scam. The 3,600-page supplementary chargesheet was filed on January 11 by Mumbai police. This includes the Bark Forensic Audit report. The WhatsApp chat between Dasgupta and Arnab also includes statements by former Bark employees and 59 other people.

The audit report also includes a number of channels as Republic TV, Times Now, Aaj Tak and senior officials at Bark for fixing TRP. Supplementary chargesheets were filed against Partha Dasgupta, Romil Ramgarh, Vikas Khanchandani. The first case was filed in the name of 12 people. Based on the second chargesheet, the Crime Intelligence Unit recorded Dasgupta’s statement on December 9.

According to Dasgupta, “I have known Arnab Goswami since 2004. We worked together at Times Now. I joined Bark as CEO in 2013. Arnab Goswami launched Republic 4 TV in 2017. Before launching the Republic, Arnab spoke to me and asked me to help with the TRP rating. Goswami knew that I knew how the TRP system works.’

“I was working with my team and fixing the TRP,” he added. Just like Republic TV can get a number one rating. This was the case from 2017 to 2019. In 2017, Arnab gave me about $ 6,000. Even in 2019, he paid about that much. In 2017, Arnav met me and paid me Rs 20 lakh in cash. In 2018 and 2019, he paid another Rs 20 lakh” he added.
