Sindhikela IIC Nabbed By Vigilance For Bribery

The Vigilance on Sunday arrested the Inspector in-Charge (IIC) of Sindhikela police station, Alok Kumar Behera on charges of bribery.

Behera was caught red-handed with the bribe of Rs 25,000 which he had demanded to keep off a name from the chargesheet in a particular case.

Following the arrest, searches are being conducted at Behera’s office, residence and native village – Awlapur, under Alatpur police limits in Cuttack, the Vigilance stated.
