While there have been many complains that private schools in Odisha are demanding large sum of fees for admission into schools, another serious allegation have come over certain CBSE schools in Bhubaneshwar.
As many as 24 students and their parents have complained to the apex court of the country, the Supreme Court that certain CBSE schools in Odisha are demanding money to get good makes in class 10 which will enable the student to get automatic admission in class 11.
A bench headed by Justice A M Khanwilkar took note of the submission of the lawyer of the students and issued notice to St Xavier International School in Bhubaneswar.
“The counsel for the petitioner submits that in terms of liberty granted by this court, a copy of the petition has been given to the respondents. None appears for Respondent 3 (school). Accordingly, issue notice returnable on February 14…,” ordered the bench.
In the complain the students and their parents said that those families who agreed to pay large sum of money were granted good marks in class 10 and those who didn’t loose their marks illegally.
