Tankadhar Tripathy, a BJP contender, submitted his candidacy on Monday for the upcoming by-election for the Jharsuguda Assembly constituency in Odisha. Tripathy arrived at the returning officer’s office in Jharsuguda leading a sizable procession and turned in his nomination paperwork. As Tripathy filed his nomination papers, a number of prominent BJP figures, including the state unit chairman Manmohan Samal, the former president Samir Mohanty, the Bargarh MP Suresh Pujari, and the BJP chief whip Mohan Majhi, were there. Tripathy described the by-election as a battle between the common people and a corrupt administration after turning in his papers.
I am a nondescript individual. This conflict is between Jharsuguda residents. People and 24 years of corrupt administration are at odds in this battle. Numerous thousands of people joined the walk today, demonstrating their ire at an egotistical administration, according to Tripathy.
