Tata Power, one of India’s largest integrated power companies that also manages power distribution in Odisha in collaboration with the state government, announced its vision to transform Odisha into a clean energy hub through its clean and green energy solutions and offerings while participating in the Make in Odisha conclave.
The company has already established a presence in the state’s entire clean energy value chain, which includes EV Charging points, Solar Rooftop, Solar Pumps, Floating Solar, Pumped Hydro, and Microgrids.
Tata Power intends to install 1,000 charging stations across the state over the next five years to promote clean mobility. It has already installed 50 EV charging points, and another 97 are in various stages of installation and commissioning.
In collaboration with the state government, Tata Power is working to solarize the agriculture sector. Across the state, it has already installed over 700 solar pumps and 1200 dual pumps for community drinking applications. Over the next five years, it intends to install 100,000 solar pumps.
