1) You know challenges are something that is always there, what sort of challenges did you face when you had started the entrepreneurial proceedings?
Success is not a comfortable procedure. We need to get comfortable being uncomfortable. I have always seen big dreams in life and have tried my level best to achieve those dreams. Initially, after my college, I was a dealer of a Pune-based Diesel Generator Manufacturer and used to sell in Odisha. But that did not give me satisfaction so I started assembly and manufacturing of Diesel Generators in the state of Odisha back in 2017 under my own brand FORTUNE POWER. We are the first and only Generator Manufacturers in the state having tie-ups with the best engine manufacturers of the country today. Every day is a new challenge as soon as I enter my office. We faced a lot of issues in cash flow management took many wrong investment decisions and suffered losses in the year 2018. I was depressed for many days but then after a lot of self-realization and listening to various leaders I am again back on right track after the immense hard work of 2 years and I am confident to make it big in the future.
2) Who has been your greatest inspiration in life?
First of all, Both my parents have lived a very disciplined life and have left no stone unturned in making me a good human being in this lifetime. I am indebted. Dhirubhai Ambani has always been a source of inspiration for me. What I like the most about him is that he had immense faith in his team and the people who worked with him. He always wanted them to share their ideas and thoughts openly. For every entrepreneur to be successful, he needs to organize a team of people whose capabilities can be trusted implicitly which is possible when you trust your people wholeheartedly.
I was also highly inspired by Shri R Chenraj Jain, Founder of Jain University, Bangalore where I did my graduation. His one line has kept me moving till date – “ Infinite riches are all around us, if you open your mental eyes and behold the treasure house of infinity within you, there is a gold mine within us from which we can extract anything and everything that we require to live our lives happily, peacefully and abundantly”.
3) How was your childhood, your schooling?
School days were the most interesting time of my life. When I look back to my class 4 group photograph that I have preserved till today, I smell the nostalgic scent of all the tiny bits of fun that turned into a ball of amusement. But the fact that the ball rolled downhill just too quickly, somewhere saddens a part of me. Memories are bound to be made and fade.
4) how do you see the power sector shaping up in the future in developing states like Odisha?
The power scenario both in the state and country has grown significantly both in the installed electricity generating capacity and transmission & distribution system. Despite this, the growth of electricity demand has surpassed the power supply and we have been facing power shortages during peak electricity demand despite the manifold growth over the years. Power is one of the most critical components of infrastructure crucial for the economic growth and welfare of nations. The existence and development of adequate infrastructure are essential for the sustained growth of the Indian economy.
5) What are your visions for Fortune Power? kindly brief us prior to 2030?
At present we manufacture Diesel Generators up to 250 kva in Odisha. We shall start manufacturing up to 1250 KVA in the coming 2 years. For that, we need more technical expertise, a well-trained project management team, and a huge working capital. We are striving very hard to achieve it in the next 2 years. We have successfully installed our Fortune Power Generators in other states also like West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, North East, Kerala, and Karnataka both directly or through our dealer network.
We have always emphasized Make in Odisha and we proudly tell all our clientele about our set up in the mineral-rich state of Odisha. Initially, customers doubted our quality but then we have proved them to be one of the best in the industry.
We aspire to become one of the leading Diesel Generator manufacturers of the country having our presence pan India with a wide dealer network and the best after-sales service as compared to our competitors in the industry. We have plans to increase our range up to 1250 kva and diversify into Electrical and Solar Panels and become a one-stop solution provider to all our valuable customers.

6) Any piece of advice to our young entrepreneurs?
a) We are extremely talented people, we just have to harness our potential. There are 8760 hours in a year out of which 4000 hours of productive work can lead to 30 successful business projects of our own.
b) Tomorrow it is going to be education, energy, water, green technology and synergy of expertise which means – You are good at one thing, I am good at one thing – let us join hands and work together rather than replicating the same model.
c)Dream and dream big. Visualize and realize your dreams.
d) The simplest and easiest formula to be successful which I try to follow – Being very simple and humble and respecting people around us can help us achieve the extraordinary.
