The Tenth PG Convocation of XIM University was held on 20th April 2024, at the grandeur auditorium in the new campus. The event marked a significant milestone for the graduating students as they received their degrees for doctoral and postgraduate programs.
A total of 649 students received degrees, with 6 students completing their doctoral programs and 643 students completing postgraduate programs. The convocation ceremony was graced by Shri R. Mukundan, Managing Director & CEO, Tata Chemicals Ltd., who was the Chief Guest and Convocation Speaker for the day. An engineer from IIT Roorkee, Shri. R Mukundan joined the TAS, after completing an MBA from FMS, Delhi University. He is also an alumnus of the Harvard Business School. He serves on executive committees of various industry forums viz. the Confederation of Indian Industry, Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Employers Federation of India etc.
Among the eminent dignitaries’ present were FR. Jerome Cutinha, S.J., Chairman, Board of Governors of XIM University, Shri. Rajive Kaul, Emeritus Chairman, Board of Governors of XIM University, Fr. Antony R. Uvari, S.J., Vice Chancellor, XIM University, Fr. S. Antony Raj S.J., Registrar, Fr. V. Arockia Das, S.J., Chief Finance Officer, XIM University, Deans of different schools and officials of XIM University.
The convocation ceremony commenced with a warm welcome extended by Prof. B. S Misra, Dean of Xavier Institute of Management, who greeted all the students, parents, dignitaries, and guests gathered for the occasion. Fr. Antony R. Uvari, Vice Chancellor elaborated on the achievements of XIM University over the past year, highlighting the institution’s commitment to academic excellence, research, and innovation.
The convocation served as a momentous occasion to celebrate the academic accomplishments of the graduating students and to recognize the dedication and hard work they have invested in their studies. As they embark on new journeys, equipped with knowledge and skills acquired at XIM University, the graduates are poised to make meaningful contributions to their respective fields and society at large.
The top rank holders across schools were felicitated with Medals for Academic Excellence by the Chief Guest. The event concluded with the vote of thanks by Fr. S. Antony Raj, S.J., Registrar. The convocation concluded with heartfelt congratulations to the graduates and best wishes for their future endeavors, echoing the university’s commitment to nurturing responsible leaders who will drive positive change and innovation in the world.
