TPSODL Conferred With The ‘State Level Electrical Safety Award 2023’

The ‘State Level Electrical Safety Award 2023’ has been given to TPSODL in honor of their admirable efforts for the finest electrical safety procedures in its 33/ 11 KV Khandadeuli Primary Sub-Station under Bhermapur Circle.

The Principal Chief Electrical Inspector (PCEI) and Engineer-in-Chief (Electricity) together organized the 4th National Electrical Safety Week in 2023 at Lokseva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar. Pratap Kesahri Deb, Minister of Energy, Industries, and MSME-Odisha, presented this state level safety award at the event.

The organization has now received this honor three times in a row for its superior safety procedures. The firm was also named the winner in 2021 and 2022 for the 33/11 kV Baulagaon Primary Sub-Station under the Bhermapur Circle and its “Mission Zero Harm” project, respectively.

This distinguished award was given to TPSDOL in appreciation of its outstanding application of electrical safety procedures at the 33/11 kV Khandadeuli Primary Sub-Station in the Bherampur Circle.

The PSS was honored for its excellent electrical practices, which included the use of SCADA, a protection system for electrical equipment, the use of advanced safety PPE and tools, adherence to PTW (Permit to Work) systems, thorough safety training, and compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. Notably, the substation has maintained an impeccable safety record, with zero safety-related incidents to date.

In addition to observing National Electrical Safety Week beginning on June 26 in all of its offices and in all 19 of its divisions in Southern Odisha, TPSODL has always placed a high priority on safety. The main goals of National Electrical Safety Week, which is observed under the slogan “Electrical Safety, Don’t Compromise, Be Wise,” according to the DISCOM, are to build a safety-conscious society and advance Zero Harm.

The firm is holding safety trainings and sessions to educate all employees—including field personnel and business partners—on the critical safety precautions that must be taken at all times.
