Two people were reported missing at the Hirakud Reservoir, Bhubaneswar on Sunday.
The deceased have been identified as Mahesh Chituri and Abhishek Kumar. Both are directors of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL).
Mahesh and Abhishek along with another colleague, were reportedly bathing in the Hirakud Reservoir near Jhankarani village in the afternoon. As everyone was swept away by the raging currents, one man emerged from the water and barely escaped, while the other two disappeared into the water.
According to information, local residents, with the help of the fire department, have launched a search operation to save the victims.
The body of one of the missing youth Abhishek Kumar has been recovered from the dam today.
