A postal cover commemorating “9 Years of Telangana Statehood” and image post cards highlighting “Buddhist Heritage in Telangana – Bavapur Kurru” were launched in Hyderabad by the nation’s tourism minister, G Kishan Reddy. Speaking at the event, Reddy praised the vision and fresh efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for transforming India Post into a Multi Service Agency that offers services to the public “on a value-for-money basis.”
The central government plans to make the Department of Post the “One Stop Solution” for all services of the schemes, he said in an official statement on Friday, by utilizing the postal department’s services as last mile connectivity, so that the benefits of welfare programs could reach people in the country’s most remote regions.
